Capturing Your Child's Milestones in Images
If the idea of bringing your children to a traditional photography studio makes you nervous, rest easy, there's a better way. Sit back in the comfort of your own home, relax, and let a professional photography studio come to you! Memories are happening everyday, so there is no perfect portrait age! Everyday is magical and will disappear tomorrow. There is no need to wait for the "right" moment, for the milestones.
At home studio sessions by Amaze Studios are designed to be spontaneous, often candid and let each subjects unique individuality shine through. With the unpredictable nature of the weather eliminated, at home studio sessions are ideal for newborn babies and young children alike. It is my goal to present each client with a unique series of photographs that look nothing like most traditional "portraits."
My goal is to document a full range of your child's expressions. Photographing relationships and emotional connections is one of my priorities. I find that less "posing" tend to result in the most natural, heart tugging images.

I allow plenty of time for your custom portrait session so that we may take a play break or stop for a hug from mom. I encourage a meeting prior to our photography day, especially if your child is very shy or more cautious to warm up to strangers. This allows us time to get to know each other with less pressure and anxiety. I want our time together to be a fun experience, one they look forward to repeating!
Clothing should be casual with minimal patterns and writing so that it does not take the focus away from your child's precious face. Solid colors work best. Jeans, khakis, overalls, and sun-dresses are ideal. Bare feet is best!
Toddlers: This is a very special age group and now that they can walk, they will since they are natural explorers! Please remember that it is who they are at this age. I know as parents, you'll feel that your child is misbehaving, and you'll feel stressed because things will not go the way you planned with having them sit nicely and smiling for the camera. My plan for your toddler is to capture them as they are at this time in their lives. I understand their need to be on the move and am extremely patient and allow plenty of time to get your shots. I assure you, I am a relaxed and patient person, so there's no need to worry. If it helps, bring a few of their favorite toys or music that you know that they will enjoy.
Sick children: If your child is sick the day of the session, please call and let me know. We can re-schedule at that time.
