Capturing the Power, Intimacy & Tenderness of a Mother's Love
If the idea of bringing your newborn baby to a photography studio with big lights and equipment makes you nervous, don't worry, there's a better way. I can bring my portable studio equipment to your home which allows you to be at ease. It really works out when you have to do any quick changes or need some private time to nurse your baby.
At home studio sessions are designed to be spontaneous and candid and let each subjects unique personality shine through. With the unpredictable nature of the weather eliminated, at home studio sessions are ideal for newborn babies and young children.
Clothing: Your baby's birthday suit is best, but feel free to bring a few outfits you'd like to have your baby photgraphed in. If you are going to be photographed with them, black turtlenecks or long sleeved black tops are great against bare skin; especially if you would like to capture their precious tiny hands, toes, etc. You can also wear an outfit that color coordinates with your baby's outfit (i.e. white shirt/jeans).
To capture that that newborn look as if they are still curled in your womb; the best time to capture that fleeting moment is within the first two weeks after your baby's birthday. This is when we often say, wow, I wish I was still that flexible! The opportunity to freeze this moment in time will not last, so please block a time with me within a week of your due date.
Sick children: Kids get sick, it happens, please call and let me know if they aren't feeling well on the day of the shoot. We can re-schedule at that time at no extra charge.
