Funeral Livestream OBSBOT Tail Air Setup with ATEM Mini
Adding wireless cameras to a church
Our church only uses 3 cameras in the rear for Sunday Mass. However when I’m hired to do a funeral livestream, they want cameras in the front. Out of respect, I don’t share the funeral footage, but see my Confirmation video footage to see the quality from the OBSBOT Tail Air Cameras.
Since the PTZ cameras are connected to the ATEM via SDI to HDMI converters, I needed to use my Mac and eCamm live to convert the wireless NDI to HDMI. I’m hoping to find a hardware solution, but currently they are at least $300 per converter! eCamm Live and a laptop works for me right now.
The OBSBOT is PERFECT for a front of church setup because of the built in battery, SD card for 4k recording for backup, and the Wireless NDI (an additional license fee).
The OBSBOT Tail Air is MUCH smaller and can be setup in less than 5 minutes. The built in battery lasted the entire ceremony.
Pros:
- Small and discrete
- Built in battery
- SD card records in 4K and transmits in 1080p wirelessly
- Wireless control over wifi
- Fast and easy setup
Cons
- No optical zoom

Why Amaze Studios?
As the Technical Director, I was hired to bring in the equipment above to record and connect with the AV team from Saier services to show on the local screens.
